Since inception:

Over 2000 patients have received care

Approximately 90 – 110 patients are supported at any given time.

Public Health care providers are not fully trained in palliative care, so do not always have the capacity to provide the necessary care and support to community members infected and affected by life-threatening illnesses. Camdeboo Hospice fills this gap. Our Registered Nurses receive intensive training in palliative care and keep up to date on advancements made in this highly specialized field of nursing. The trained home-based carers receive regular in-house training to empower them with the necessary skills and expertise to provide an effective, empathetic and efficient holistic service.

Since 1998, Camdeboo Hospice, has been offering home-based palliative care to patients suffering from HIV and Aids with a CD4 count of less than 200, All types of Cancer and TB, Motor Neuron and Multiple Sclerosis Disease. Hospice is committed to providing physical, spiritual, emotional care and support. We strive to empower families and household members by giving them an opportunity to share actively in the care and support of their loved ones.
